I credited my Capital Spreads account with £250 and did some punts.
Firstly, I bet that the FTSE would rise 40 points or more today. At a price of 3.0, and with a stakes of £1 a point, I was only risking £3. Unfortunately, the FTSE didn't move.
At 3.30pm, the Bobl was breaking a 5 minute support line. So I went short. It started to drop, and at one point I could have scratched my trade. Alas, there was news about an earthquake in Japan. So the markets rallied and I had to cut my position. That cost me £4. Not good. So the best damn trader in the world has just lost £7 punting on bonds and equities.
Anyway, I've just refered my retired buddy. Hopefully he'll have more success then me. When Capital Spreads give us the £70 refer a friend fees we can pile in with larger bets.
