RANT: Marked for death
Went to Muay Thai today. We did some clinch work and my neck is now sore. Not good. At 40 my body feels like it wants to give up, but I should be at my prime.
Anyway, at the end of the session we had to spar. I was a bit worried as my stamina isn't up to much, and I'm getting rather frail. So in order to prevent my old self getting battered I decided to use the old poker axiom of pure aggression. Anyway, I can move fast enough, and managed to pull off the old flying punch. I can't find any pictures, so if you want to imagine The Edge in action, think of Brad Pitt in Troy, but without the sword. However, pulling off the silky magic was not a good plan, as one of the other students noticed my skills and later announced:
"I WANT TO FIGHT YOU!"
Being a cowardly old man of 40 years, with no testosterone imbalances, I responded to his request with;
"No Thanks. I'm too scared. You can beat me up next week".
Upon which I legged it from the class. Not sure if the master was impressed or not. SMT SMT.
My Texas Calculatem page had been destroyed by hackers and sales are down. Not good.
