My first impression of Poker Office 2 has been pretty positive. They have a few useful new features such as the ability to replay hands. This is obviously good for analysing play from prior hands. But I've done something bad to the mySQL database and it isn't working. So I'll have to create a new database next time. It's not a big deal as I should have started a new one for my Pacific Poker play anyway.
Speaking of Pacific, regular readers know that I have nothing but contempt for Pacific. The software is appalling. But so are the players and that is why I play there on occasion. I assume that the unreliable software was the reason why previous incarnations of Poker Office didn't work with Pacific Poker. But Poker Office 2 supports Pacific Poker and the results are as expected. I played for one hour on a $0.25/$0.50 table and only two players (me being one of them) saw under 40% of flops.
I'll write a full review later, but need to do Holdem Genius first. I'm going to be so busy! Next week I'm on early's Monday. Lates Tuesday, with Opticians appointment in the morning. Have a dinner with Miss W on Wednesday (Juice might be joining us). Am working lates on Thursday (waiting for big TV delivery in the morning). And am going to learn how to beat things with my bear hands on Friday. I will then visit Mad Josie over the weekend. In between all that, I'll try to write up some reviews.
