Texas Calculatem holds its own

I played another $2.00+$0.30 SNG at Ladbrokes with Juice. The players were pretty tight and my luck wasn't too good. For example, I hit a two pair on the flop and bet the pot to try and take it down. But Juice and another geezer called. I bet the pot again and they called. I knew something was wrong. And therefore checked the turn. It turned out that the other geezer had hit a straight on the river. Doh!

I also did a short session at a $0.15/$0.30 table. One of the players, DeepPurple, was antagonising Juice, so he left. DeepPurple was on serious tilt (said so himself) and saw 76.32% of flops, raising 21.05% of them. However, he got lucky and managed to win a little over the course of an hour. All I did was mostly follow Texas Calculatem's signals. Occasionally I had to overide it. For some reason it recommended a "check or call one small bet" on the turn when I'd raised pre-flop with JJ's but missed the flop (with Q overcard) and turn (rag). The pot odds at that point were very low so I folded. Another time I had to call down as the pot odds were 4 times my odds to win. But on the whole Texas Calculatem seem to give good advice and I was up on the session.

Not too sure if I'm looking forward to the UK Vs US SNG at Royal Vegas tomorrow. Juice is pretty depressed by the whole Poker thing and I have to admit that my own motivation is waning.

I did a link exchange with http://www.lpow.com/. It's a forum that discusses Poker. At the moment things seem a little quiet over there, but hopefully things will pick up for them.
