_Kronsdat

Hey Kronsdat,

Thanks for posting the comment. It appears that you've had quite a roller coaster ride, which in many ways is similar to my experience. Like other novices I had beginners luck and had some big early wins. But that soon turned to losses. I managed to scale back my size before losing everything, and have been studying and grinding away at the lower limits ever since.

Regarding pre-flop play, I've been using a discretionary yet tight strategy lately. I see how many players have acted, examine what I have, and then decide whether or not I think it's worth a punt. Quite often, if I'm in late position and everyone has folded to me, I'll try raising with any Ace, in the aim of either spiking an ace or stealing the blinds. Poker Office still tells me that I'm tight pre-flop (around 30% flops seen).

Good luck at the tables, and I hope your new school is going well.

The Edge.

Having a good night here on a 15/30 table - 13.50 up and counting! Met a wild raiser called John_69 who I took down a couple of times. He eventualy crashed out with 69 off suit which seemed poetic somehow. Inspired by your efforts I'm going to do a poker blog myself on my website where I post Chess and Diplomacy stuff. When I have it ready I'll send you the url.

Cheers

Good skills, and thanks for the tip on John_69. I'll keep an eye out on him.

Last night was a tough one for myself. I joined about an hour after you'd left (Jeinsen told me) and ended up down a couple of dollars. It was fold'em hell!

Anyway, I met another interesting character called Dram45 He said there was good fishing at another table, despite playing over 80% of flops and being down quite a lot for the night. I added him to my player profiles in the Forum
