Confirmation

Just to confirm what I wrote earlier... don't bother playing at Coral Poker. I've wasted 4 hours playing non-stop only to lose $25.88. I missed all the draws. And had few hands worth playing past the flop. Stick to better Poker rooms such as Ladbrokes Poker and Royal Vegas Poker.

Why do the poker gods mock us like this?

Apparently you need 300 x the big blind to have a safe stake. Im sure you can play with less and many people certainly do.

If you dont get the cards all the stategy in the world wont help you. You can play your draw correctly but if you dont hit you will lose money.

Poker is certainly a humbling expereince at times.

The best way of playing, I found is sit down at a $25NL table, win a few bucks ($5-10), get up and do the same at another table. And if you lose more than 1/3 of what you sat in with - leave immediately. Coral is just another skin of PartyPoker, right?

Cameron, cheers for the tip. Unfortunately my Poker education has been 95% fixed limit so my NL skills are very weak. Yes, Coral is a Party Poker skin. I have accounts at Empire Poker and Coral Poker. However, I always lose with them. Don't know why as I do fine elsewhere. But I'm not pushing my luck anymore and will not be chasing my rake rebates. May my Coral account rest in hell.

Juice,

When I moved up again to $0.50/$1.00 I had $300 of retained profits. I therefore did have a sufficient bankroll for $0.50/$1.00. However, I'm not pushing my luck and will be moving back to $0.25/$.50 at a luckier poker room. My profits now stand at $208.13. Pretty pathetic considering how long I've been playing for.
