Self Assesment Ball Ache

I did my tax return before Christmas and was given back £80.

On 31st Jan, I received a letter telling me I owed £180, and had to pay by 31st Jan. What a ballache. Why didn't they just tell me I owed £100 a month ago?

Anyway, compared to my lottery win, all that's just a petty nuisance rather than anything important. I will send an email to Julia, requesting she join me in my future life of luxury. I shall sail the world. Whore in every city from Istanbul to Vegas. And enter the WSOP every year until I win.

Post of the Month

The post of the month has got to go to dD, with Serf Control. It has a selection of comments regarding the arena of reality TV, in particular, the X Factor.

However, I find it unlikely that dD truly abhors the abuse of the weak. It was only yesterday that he offered to join me at the tables, after reading about my red mist issues (click here for the evidence).

Anyway, according to the IQ test on Facebook, I have an IQ of 69. Does that classify me as being weak and needy, and deserving of some sort of disability allowance?

Java Object Sorting

The red mist is hitting. I'm sizing up my bets on the SNG's at Pacific and losing. Not good.

Anyway, I'm also working on a new betfair application that uses the API rather than screenscraping. It currently manages to watch a few markets, but does not place bets or crunch numbers yet. In order to implement some sorting, I'll need to look at this example.

Complaint Didn't Work.

I'm still getting spam from ok mail. They claim to be a member of the Direct Marketting Association, whatever that means, but there isn't a complaints form on that site. I shall therefore remove myself by forwarding all junk back to them using an outlook rule.

OK Mail Continuing to spam me.

I'm continuing to get spam from OK Mail, despite trying to remove myself from their junk mail list several times. This is very frustrating.

Over 5 days ago they said I'd stop receiving their junk, within 5 working days. But that was a lie. I have therefore submitted a complaint. let's see what happens.

Where am I going?

It's Monday Evening. I'm up at 6am tomorrow. What fun. Annyway, I'm not quite ready to go to bed and am going to ramble instead.

I played in the Bloggerment for the first time in months last night. Rosie convinced me to give it a go, but I think I was too scared and was blinded out into 10th place. I couldn't think of anything useful to say in the chat. And therefore resigned myself to saying either "woof" or "grrr". I hope no one thought I was being rude.

On Friday, my boss told me I had to sort out my life, and while he's right, I'm not really sure what I want which is a bit of an arse. I'm not particularly fussed about things that seem to interest other people such as sports or getting drunk. The Yes Man book that I've read has inspired me to try saying yes to more things. But what's the point if I'll just get bored and annoyed?

Anyway, my buddy is really getting into the trading malarky, and we have a budget to get a hot chick to come work with us. The main requirement for this project is that the chick must be damn hot, easy, and have no employment contract (or we'd get sued). Other than moral boosting, there isn't really a need for her, as we in no way need another person. I'm not sure how this stands in the eyes of employment law, though I'm guess Juice will let me know. Is it permitted to hire a trading assistant purely on looks? Or do I have to have some annoying wannabe alpha male, just because he has qualifications? Will the law frown on me if I reject every male CV? Or can I specify that only hot chicks have a chance?

Anyway, here's a brief job spec:

Hot chick required for traders' assistant role. Chick must be hot, young and single. Required duties will include:

- making tea.
- massages.
- making eggs.
- table dancing.
- excel monkeying.
- short skirts.
- trading strategy development and presentations.

If you know anyone suitable please let me know.
